Sally Ann's Statement

An alumnus of the Rhode Island School of Design and of Bryant College, I have been painting for over 20 years.  My work has been influenced by the different phases of my life – marriage, child-rearing and career.  I constantly explore my media and sometimes get lost in what I’m trying to accomplish – developing a color, perfecting my palette, placing a shape, giving the painting life and making it sing.  It’s in me to do something creative, to meet a challenge, and bring an idea to fruition.  My paintings come from the heart and through my art I have carved a life for myself by focusing on my passion.  I was meant to be an artist…
